Budapest 2014

Summer of 2014, my sister and I headed back to Romania for 7 weeks. Tickets were cheaper if instead of landing in Romania, we landed in Budapest (which is around a 3-hour car ride from Ususău). My aunt and cousin picked us up at the airport, and we toured the city a bit before heading over the border. We were pretty exhausted after a nine hour flight with a layover in Munich, and then another hour long flight to Budapest, but I was excited to actually see the city.

We ate lunch at a tiny cafe, and then visited the Hősök Tere (Hero’s Square).

We toured the area around there and took some pictures of the historic buildings.

Then we climbed up Gellért Hill to get a view of the whole city. It was beautiful, but by this point the jet lag was really catching up with us, so we got in the car and drove home to Romania.
