We arrived in Pancota on July 18, 2014, and we stayed there for about 10 days.
That night, we played Telestrations, which is a hard game to play when not everyone speaks English. We had a blast though, the game ending with peals of laughter.
The next day being Saturday, we attended the piaţă, where we ate mititei, and then we went to an ice cream parlor.
We went to church on Sunday, and that night, we played volleyball in the park with my cousins and their friends. Besides that, we also introduced them to glow sticks and the art of long exposure photography.
After our adventures there, we returned to Ususău.
One day, my cousins and a couple friends decided to take a bike ride. We scavenged around town trying to find enough bikes for all of us, but all we could come up with were two bikes with brakes, and the rest without. We biked to the River Mureș, and then decided to go on to Chelmac. The 3.5 mile trip wasn’t long, but the hills were steep, too steep for the brake-less bikes, so only my cousin Noemi and I, who were on the bikes with brakes, continued on.
Two days later, we headed to Timișoara on a train from Lipova. We stayed with my cousins, who have an apartment there.
Once there, we went sightseeing downtown. Timișoara is a beautiful city, which used to be called Little Vienna because of how closely its architecture reflects the architecture of Vienna.
Then we went to to Parcul Rozelor, where we took our time to smell the roses. We also got to see a boat made entirely out of water bottles.
That night, we went out to eat shawarmas. Then my cousins and I went to park where we had a midnight photoshoot on the jungle gym (very childish of us, I know).
The next day, we broke into Parcul Copiilor, and had a photoshoot there too, until we got kicked out by a cop. To be fair, we weren’t the only ones in there, as a gate had been left open, and most people ignored the posted “keep out” sign.
We walked around downtown some more, and then took the tramvai (tram) back to the apartment.
That night we went to the Iulius Mall in Timișoara, where we shopped, and then climbed onto the roof for another photoshoot.
The next morning we headed back to Ususău on the train.
